Two words: Learn FORTH.

I tell this to anyone interested in learning asm... HTH.

spend like a month doing 8-hour hack sessions on it, with the major focus
being how to manipulate both stacks (start with the data stack tho.)

Then, you'd be a natural at learning asm; just pick up the reference
for the machine of your choice and go.
