I never figured out how to make the debian/rules makefile walk through
the make clean/configure/make/make install/package build steps twice with
different packagenames. I haven't been able to give it much time either.

If you're serious about this, either:
* Send me a patch that adds the functionality to debian/rules, or
* Talk to me about taking over mtr, since I don't want to maintain it with
two siamese-twin upstream tarballs.
