Maybe better: "The dpkg+apt packaging system, which has proven its value since
long, is used for performing..."

Another thing to brag about: you can[1] upgrade from _any_ previous Debian
release directly to 2.2, "which hasn't been seen on any OS before".
Well, up to (or better down to) 1.3.1->2.2 has been tested successfully, and I
don't think anyone is still running <1.3.1 ;-) (But if the kernel has ELF
support, it should still work.)
