X-4 thinks laptop internal LCD is in use
Hi,
on my laptop, Compaq Armada M300 with Rage LT Pro, I upgraded to
woody, and got X-4. Using the internal LCD is fine, but the external
screen is strange:
Normally, when I start with the lid closed, the card uses only the
external monitor port with a different sync compared to usin both
screens. With X-4 and lid closed, the server probes the card and get
a line about 'internal screen 800x600'[1], and so refuses to use a higher
resoultion.
How can I tell the server the screen is really 1200x1024 or whatever?
X-4 looks nice on the LCD, but it is really usefull to have 1200x1024
resoultion so I'll have to keep X-3.3... :-(
