Re: Bug#78845: fidelio depends on libc5 X libs and libc6 X libs at the same time

Well,

[ CC'ed to -devel to thank those who responded. :^) ]

I just uploaded fidelio_0.9.5-2 to master. I recompiled it under
a chroot jail that I just set up for the occasion. :^)

The chroot environment has nothing installed in it that wasn't
either part of base2.tar.gz, or directly related to compiling
fidelio or building the deb.

I installed gnome-core, libgnome-dev, and libxml2, and let apt-get
pull in everything else that these depended on. Ostensibly, this
pulled in the latest versions of everything, and I found no evidence
to the contrary. :^)

So, the dependencies that are now present will have to stand. :^)

AFAICT, all the XF3/Libc5 crapola is gone.

Works fine on in my main (polluted, non-chroot) environment.

You can raid it from incoming on auric, or from the site I keep
at <ftp://danno.tzo.com/people/danno/debian/fidelio/0.9.5/master/>

Check it out. If you like what you see, I'll close this bug. If
not, then it's back to the drawing board. :^)

Thanx for the pointer! ;^>

Cheers!
