Maybe you haven't looked inside headerfiles, but some of the headers
files include asm/* headerfiles themselves:
[random;/usr/include]-147> grep 'asm/' sys/*h
sys/syscall.h:#include <asm/unistd.h>
sys/vm86.h:#include <asm/vm86.h>
