policy on private shared libraries ?
I was wondering whether Section 4.3 of the Policy (Shared Libraries) applies
to shared libraries that are private to a package. This means in my case
(package texmacs):
- having /usr/lib/texmacs/lib, containing the shared libraries of my
package
- /usr/bin/texmacs is a script setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH, and then executing
a binary in /usr/lib/texmacs/bin
Lintian gives my lots of
E: texmacs: shlib-with-non-pic-code usr/lib/texmacs/lib/<xxx>.so
Can I ignore these error messages?
