host ip in ftp passive reply
If I switch to passive mode my ftp client gets a post string in return
listing the IP number and the port it should connect to. Does anyone know if
the client is supposed to honor this IP number? Is it possible to move the
connection to a different machine using this?
I tried with some clients and it appears they almost all do honor this. Only
lftp it seems does not.
Is there an RFC saying what's the right way?
