Then I propose that maintainers working for companies that use and
advertise Debian based products (VA Linux, Stormix, Corel, Progeny and
HelixCode spring to mind) should be publically chastised and removed
from the project if they don't quit their day jobs, or get their companies
to refocus on, say, RedHat.

Furthermore, I propose that all maintainers who have system administration
as part of their job description and have installed Debian on any of
the systems they administer be faced with a similar choice: reinstall
or resign.

I think this will result in a much more free, open and generous culture
within Debian, and will be much more in line with the social contract.
