Package: project
Version: Debian-2.0Beta
Priority: wishlist

Under hamm the package libc4, which provides backward
compatibility is missing. I gathered from the bug reports
that this package is orphaned, but by installing it
(because I really need to run old programs in a.out format
for which I don't have the source code)
I noted that it still works. If the only severe problem
with this package is that its package format is no
longer up-to-date, couldn't there be simply a
non-maintainer-upload?
I guess that there will be still many cases like me who
depend on this backward compatibility or who would like
to have it available.
