Only options 1 and 3 require rsyncd's on mirrors. Option 2 requires a
lot of unique user setup and a well connected site to run the far end of the
rproxy tunnel (eg. a university account on the same campus as a debian
archive), so it isn't useful to everyone. Option 4 requires the development
of new apache and squid features and a rollout of thoe features, so it's a
long way off.
