FW: libc5
Well, I certainly am not thinking about removing Libc5 -- is
there some proposal to do so? It might be good to continue
keeping it in "oldlibs", since at least one user (attached)
thinks it will have an impact on their operation.

Please don't... I currently miss a concrete example but dimly recall
that I came across a number of third party software packages that
would break where recompiling is not an option.
Other than that I also don't know who would use it...
