Wichert and I have talked about this one but have not reached a resolution.
The best fix may simply be a note in the Release Notes that SiS 6326 users
should not attempt to use the VGA16 server.  This bug may be a candidate
for downgrading.

No progress has been made on this and no one else has reproduced it.  I
think it may therefore be a candidate for downgrading.

I have fix in place and ready to go for -8, which I expect to release this
evening.

This patch has been applied to -8.
