Please excuse this do-Bee message, but I think a discussion of the merits (or 
lack of merits) of Meyer's paper might belong elsewhere. This, I thought, is a 
development list. Politics, even attacks of free software, are off-topic. More 
to the point, your preaching to the  choir. We probably all agree that the 
article was pretty weak. I would suggest that you put these messages on the 
readers forum of Software Development. There, you might generate more light than 
heat.
