As nice as it is to pressure ISP's into fixing their nameservers,
the PARANOID setting is entirely irrelevant for ssh, and causes
users considerable annoyance. There is no reason for the
administrators of these systems not to disably the PARANOID check
for ssh.
There are outstanding items (eg 55528) in the BTS on this.
