Hi,

I have a start on packaging "The Visualization Toolkit", as described
at http://www.kitware.com/vtk.html

Interested persons may see my preliminary efforts at
http://master.debian.org/~bottoms/debs/

I am accepting comments on my choice of package names for the
component binary packages:
     vtk        - Binary Tcl interpreter
     libvtk     - .so files for C++ and Tcl bindings
     libvtk-dev - Header files
     libvtk-patented - Software patents and commercial use restrictions
     vtk-python - Python bindings
     vtk-examples - as included in upstream source

I'd like to hear comments on Mesa/OpenGL issues. Right now I am
building against mesag3.

Also, this could be built with Java bindings - any good strategies for
building a vtk-java package? There also appears to be some attempt to
build against MPI libraries.

After a little bit of testing, I expect to be able to upload the set
for inclusion in woody by this weekend. (Built on a potato system)
