I requested gnu-pop3d not be shipped with potato for a couple of reasons :

a) it is not robust
b) some mysterious bugs
c) the reason for the above two is that we (the mailutils group) are re-writing
the daemon and the code in Debian does not reflect this.

gnu-pop3d should however remain in unstable.
