I seem to remember an USB howto stating that the 2.2.9
(and up) kernels did have usb. Ah looking at the
sources I see a usb directory under drivers. Also
there is an IFCONFIG USB in the top level make file.
So the source is there. Just no way to configure it
in the configure scripts.
