undefined reference

Folks,
  I'm trying to compile a program that takes the shared libs supplied
by CryptoCard, and at link time, I get:

/lib/crypto/libvega.so: undefined reference to `__eh_pc'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Now, CryptoCard claims that they have compiled their code on a Debian
Potato system, but I can't even compile their sample code without the
same error as above.

Can someone point me to the stupid thing I'm doing wrong?
