That's all you need to do. If there has been an upload, the version
number will have been incremented (and/or an epoch will have been
used).
Also, if the file in potato is a symlink to the file in slink, it
hasn't been updated. You can probably tell this from ftp; http
servers may not make it obvious.

There may be a good reason why a package hasn't been uploaded (for
example: no new upstream version). Tread carefully...
