sorry to fan the flames, but why another virtual host? it's just a
more obscure way of not getting non-free. if you want to stress the
distinction, remove the non-free/contrib sections from the apt-get
sources.list and other default lists for other methods. that way it
requires some effort to get non-free stuff and people have to know
that it's non-free, but it's not any harder (i know, the method you
suggested wouldn't make it nay harder... but it would provide no more
benefit than just taking contrib and non-free out of your
sources.list!)

if anyone feels the urge to respond non-constructively to this mail,
please go ahead -- but only in private mail. there's no reason the
lists should suffer.
