Hi all,
David Coe and I are pleased to announce the "Debian Spelling Dictionaries
and Tools Policy", as well as the new dictionaries-common package that will
provide the infrastructure to implement it. This work has been under
discussion since two weeks among maintainers of ispell related packages.
This is a wider announcement, intendend to reach all the interested people
we missed in our semi-private discussions.
To know more about this work, please visit:
http://master.debian.org/~rafael/dictionaries-common
Your comments are most welcome, especially those from the debian-policy
people. BTW, I am not sure whether I have should followed or not Manoj's
guidelines to post this to debian-policy, as the Spelling Policy is
actually a sub-policy. I apologize in advance for any incovenience I can
cause and ask you guys on debian-policy to tell me the correct procedure to
follow.
