Take a look at mine (mailcrypt's one): it puts the file in the right
package specific directory, but it doesn't check if the file already
exist, it merely overwrites it if it's there (on the ground that
package specific directory is propriety of the package itself, and
nobody else (package or human) should thinker with it: things will
work, unless someone does something he is not supposed to do, such as
changing CompilationLog.gz permissions (i.e., if you thinker with
things you shouldn't, you deserve errors happening); maybe it's a
nasty supposition, maybe not).
