well, either way, the person who "sponsors" your package would be responsible
for it. This means time and energy...which means that the person would
pretty much have to really want to package it...ie..they most likely want
to use it.

I agree...having it available is the most important...getting it into the
distro is less important. Either someone will come along and take your
package up until you become a developer or you'll just become a developer.
