Actually, the change from one 5.00x to the other isn't minor if one would
read how they did there schemes. Mind, you, this is from memory, so I may be
a bit off, but...
Most of the rest of the open source world:
(Major).(minor).(revision)
Debian:
(Major).(minor)r(revision) *GRRRR*
Perl:
(Major).(Minor)_(revision)
So, perl 5.004 to 5.005 is really 5.4 to 5.5 in the "normal" notation.
Further, iirc, the major is only change when the language itself is
changed, not when a ton of things inside the language change.
