Thanks.  Got that answer on another list.  I'm down to screwed up
hard-coded paths now.

Everything compiles (the makefiles are appalling, though).  Now I need to
get a front end working so I can test and fiddle around a bit.

I was tangentially involved with Xanadu back in the early 80's when they
were in Ann Arbor.
