As requested:

hydrus:/home/remmy# update-alternatives --display w
w - status is auto.
 link currently points to /usr/bin/w.procps
/usr/bin/w.procps - priority 50
 slave w.1.gz: /usr/man/man1/w.procps.1.gz
Current `best' version is /usr/bin/w.procps.

I checked...

$ ls -l /usr/bin/w
-r-xr-xr-x   1 root     root         7752 Feb  7 09:48 /usr/bin/w

This seems to conflict with the link that update-alternatives is
reporting?

My procps is versions 2.0.2-2 as well.

Note that w.procps does work while plain w doesn't.

Thank you,

Remmy
