Version numbers of versioned Perl
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
What should the version numbers of versioned Perl be?
It could just be perl5.005_5.005.03-1, etc. but then again, that's redundant
data that's not necessary. What about perl5.005_3-1? It's much shorter
and works just fine. Would that be too confusing?
I can make arguments in my mind for either way. I'm interested in
others opinions. (One is shorter. One is possibly less confusing.)
