current document policy ?

packges with some system available somewhere ?  Something in developer's
corner like the "menu system" document would be nice. I searched the
developers corner for "document" and "documentation" in these documents:
	Debian Policy Manual. 
	Debian Developer's Reference 
	Debian Packaging Manual
	Debian New Maintainers Guide 
	The New-Maintainer's Debian Packaging Howto
	some docs in Debian Documentation Project (DDP)

I couldn't find anything indicating that document registration system
exists.  Thanks for any clues...
