Java: how to have java packages in main (=free) ?

Hi, all!
I remember someone saying that now we have a free java compiler and a
free class implementation so our packages with free java pgms could go
to main.

I have a source that can create _also_ java lib, but I didn't upload it
because I didn't want to put the thingy in contrib (I'm a main-only
guy).

Please, can some java expert tell me which packages (compiler+classes) I
have to install to get a java development env that produces free
packages (from free sources)?
