Well, for the POSIX test suite (something I am still learning about) the
tests are run by a prespecified user (vsx0), who's home is $TET_ROOT/vsx4
(the location of the test suite). Thus Joe would need the password for
vsx0 before she could run the test suite.

While I'm sure that the tests could be restructured to run from any user
account, I'm not up for the job.

I suspect that if the debian-testing group uses TETware to develope
package testing scripts, that some subset of the tests will be executable
by any user, although installation will still require root priviledge.

The fact that the test suites that may run under TETware are not
determined, and may not be constrained in certain ways, that makes this
decission such a cloudy issue. I'm going to have to choose one and see
just how bad the consequences are by using it.

Thanks,
