Ok.  If there is likely going to be a new upstream package, then it
makes sense to wait.

Well, I don't really want to be the upstream maintainer.  Somebody at
Cygnus would probably be better suited to that job anyways.  I don't
mind being the Debian maintainer, since it looks like a really easy
package to maintain.
