GNU PG and PGP both can encrypt files using a shared key cipher (gpg: CAST5,
BLOWFISH, BLOWFISH160 ; PGP: IDEA). Furthermore, the "ssleay" package comes
with a number of (unfortunately almost undocumented) binaries in
/usr/bin/ssl, including 15 ones that have "des" in their name.
