Well if we're getting visionary, I have a spare time dream of rewriting
eggdrop with embedded perl, but anyway :)

Seriously, I'd love to see libperl.so.  All the support is there - perl
5.004 can build with it.  Is there interest?  Perhaps we could persuade
the perl maintainer to do libperl.so (at least when 5.005 comes out
which it supposedly will soon...).
