I think the mail I received resolves the problems about
the GRASS license. It is OK to use it as the copyright file
in /usr/doc/grass? Expect the (big) grass package in a couple

Federico,

There are no restrictions on GRASS and it is all free.  You can do anything
you wish with it (of course, we would like to be cited as the developers
though).  You may distribute it on CD or other means.

The MS-Windows version is currently not free.  Development costs
must be recovered for this.  However, we will at some time in the future
be making a public-domain Windows resease we hope.
