	OK I'll close the bug report.
	A comment though:
	Most of the missing packages listed are actually installed (dpkg
-l). I assume this means that the version numbers are wrong. Perhaps
apt-get message could include the required version number.
	I'll remove all of the offending packages, and put on my rubber
underwear and give it another try.
