A lot of those bugs are against ftp.debian.org, and many of the others
have been fixed in versions waiting in Incoming. I'm not blaming that on
Guy, he has been doing a good job as "FTP archive czar", and it is really
a hard job. I remember he said something about sharing the load with
other developers. What has been done about that?
