Please integrate the patch at

for egcs to be acceptable as the compiler on PowerPC (without it, egcs
can't build glibc) (and yes, it does say 1.0, but it applies cleanly to
1.0.1 and works fine), and also enable the Haifa scheduler on PowerPC, as
it is a big win on that architecture.

My egcs 1.0.1 -0.3 release (still in incoming) has both of these things
already ;-).
