The versions in slink were segfaulting like crazy on me. I don't
currently have them installed, but I can reinstall and check again.
I asked around on #debian, and it seems that this problem is *not*
universal, but if it's hitting a reasonable percentage of us, it's
almost certainly worth investigating.
