Problem compiling w/gdk-imlib & libgtk1.1.9

I'm trying to compile a new version of wmakerconf, linked against GTK+ 1.1.
Everything compiles okay, but when I run it, I get the message:

Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate loadable module in module_path: "libpixmap.so",

8 times, and then it runs normally.  How can I avoid this?
