In fact, wording of the news item makes it sound like this is a binary
for bo, yet running ldd on the binary gives

zeus:~$ ldd apt-get
        libpkg.so.0 => /usr/lib/libpkg.so.0 (0x4000c000)
        libstdc++.so.2.8 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2.8 (0x400ce000)
        libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x40116000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x4012f000)
        /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x40000000)

Hmmm. libc6 in bo? How about replacing it with the .deb from bo?

Cheers,
Mark
