static libs
Hi. Since hamm, static linking is considered obsolete, right? Of
course we want to support users who wish to statically link
programs, but it's not the default anymore.
Well, I found out that removing all .a files in my system would
free up about 10M, and I don't have a lot of -dev packages
installed; in cases such as master the gain would probably sum
up to 100M. Shouldn't there be a way for users to get rid of
them apart from su; rm?
