As f comes before p in the ascii sort, this is no better than 2.0.7. Both
will be treated as a downgrade. Check out:

dpkg --compare-versions '2.0.7final' '<' '2.0.7pre3'; echo $? 0

This will return 0 0, indicating 2.0.7final is less than 2.0.7pre3

Next time check out your suggestion before proposing it ;-)
