Yes. Still, AFAIK i386 will be 50% of our ports for which hamm will be
released as a stable release :-)
Also, Alan's comment is a fair warning for the potential for subtle
problems.
I think that we've made the right decision to stick with gcc 2.7.2.3 for C
for 2.0 and egcs g++ for C++ . After we have 2.0 released, it seems sensible
to move to 2.8.1 as the default C compiler (at least for the architectures
where 2.7.2.3 is currently the default).
