How about this problem?
blp:/raid/home/blp$ apt-get update
E: Couldn't lock the Output dir, /var/state/apt/lists/ another process is using it
However, if I run as root everything works. Either the error message
needs to be fixed (``Couldn't lock the output dir. You are not
root.'') or apt-get needs to be moved to /usr/sbin. Maybe both.
