Can we fit main/required+important+standard on one CD and
main/optional+extra & contrib/* & non-free/* on the other ?
contrib looks like it's about 27Mb in total. So,
main contrib non-free total
required 6Mb - - 6Mb
important 6Mb - - 6Mb
standard 376Mb - - 376Mb
optional 429Mb ? 85Mb }
extra 36Mb ? 8Mb } 558Mb
total 853Mb 27Mb 93Mb 973Mb
If we include main>=optional, contrib and non-free on the second CD it
looks perilously full, esp. if we make all the -altdev packages extra.
main<=optional on its own is 817Mb, so we'd have to move 200Mb out of
optional into extra to make it fit on a CD.
Guy, how many of those packages in my bug report are you going to
move ?
Ian.
