I don't believe I've seen any suggestions on bugtraq better than
mktemp(1), and I have yet to see a reason why it can't be "applied almost
immediately everywhere".

I think I could live with 2.0 being released without all these bugs being
closed (so maybe not even important), but I would like to seem them fixed
by an early revision of 2.0.
