It is possible, if you force the install and then hack inetd.conf so
that they are on separate ports. By default they all want port 21.
;-) And proftpd disables the ftp service entirely, instead running as
a standalone daemon.

Hmm, conflicting is correct but replacing seems unnecessary, since it
conflicts....
