As Mark said, very carefully worded. However, is there a reason
for mentioning this in particular? You did not seem to suggest a particular
course of action aimed at these discussions.

debian-mentors seems to be quite successful. A number of the more
basic packaging questions have been asked and answered on that list,
and indeed I don't see much of that sort of traffic on the devel list
these days.
