Emacs 20 package nearing completion.
Just wanted to let everyone who's waiting with baited breath know that
the emacs 20 package is nearing completion.
I still have to fix maillock to use liblockdev (Karl, did you decide
to work on this? I couldn't recall), and I still have to work out a
couple more details wrt emacsen-common, but assuming that no one has
any *major* objections to my proposal (and so far I haven't heard
any), then emacs 20 will be ready soon, and I'll send annotated
patches to Mark and James so they can fix up emacs 19 and xemacs to
match.
Then all that should be left is working with the add-on package
maintainers to make sure they understand and can implement that
tangled mess I proposed.
